The one-page standard

Every purchase order carries it. What comes in with the job, and what goes out with the parts.

In, with every job

  1. Drawing and revisionThe exact revision you're making to.
  2. Material and certificateThe specified material, with its mill certification.
  3. Critical dimensionsThe features that decide whether a part passes.
  4. Quantity and due dateWhat you agreed to, in writing.
  5. Inspection levelWhat gets checked, and how many.
  6. PackagingHow the parts are packed and marked.

Out, with every order

  1. Material certificationTraceable to the bar or sheet the parts came from.
  2. Inspection reportThe measured critical dimensions.
  3. Certificate of conformanceYour signature that the parts meet the order.

The rest of the rules

First lots. We inspect the first lot of every new part before it ships.

Parts that miss. Nonconforming parts are remade or refunded at the shop's cost, the same as with any customer.

Federal jobs. Your shop keeps an active CAGE code, since the government identifies the manufacturer of every part by it. Getting one is free, and we'll help.

Your prices stay private. No shop in the network ever sees another shop's quotes.

Every requirement flows down. Anything the customer's contract requires is written into your purchase order before you accept it.
